The following is an examination of wealth disparity in the United States from the mid-twentieth century to the second decade of the twenty first.
While white Americans have had their assets increase to over a million dollars, African Americans and Hispanic Americans have not seen the same progress.
During this time, we also see income inequality between the top 5% and lowest income Americans increase.
Home ownership during this increase in inequality remains relatively stable for White Americans but declines slightly for African-Americans, but is falling more recently.
